We came home with a huge amount of medals and were so, so close to retaining the trophy. The children were amazing and showed fantastic sportsmanship. Well done to all who took part and to the children who missed out this year, congratulations to you for being so supportive of all your class mates.

The children have been very enthusiastic learning about 2D shape.
They created some lovely tiling patterns.
P1- 4 were treated to Marvellous Magnets presented by Generation Science from Edinburgh. As well as having fun the children learned about poles repelling and attracting and that the Earth has a magnetic field!
The children enjoyed learning about Ancient Egyptian mummification. Can you guess our two mummies?
We have been learning about Story beginnings. In our trios we used starter sentences to create a great start to a story
Once upon a time a brave pony went into the forest.
· Deep dark down in the magical forest there is a brave little pony that is lost but not quite scared!
A brave pony that is lost in a magical forest was stuck in mud.
A brave pony fought its way through wizards in the magical forest.
A brave pony has kicked his owner of its back and got lost in the magical forest.
Brave Chesney trotted around the forest wondering why the trees are gold and the animals were frozen to statues.
Oh no, I’m lost in a magic forest says Confetti, but this means bravery.
Lindsay and Jessica were given the task of researching the author of their reading book. They decided to make a powerpoint and it’s too good not to share!
